  • What’s a book, movie, or TV show that you wish you could experience again for the first time?

If I could experience a book, movie, or TV show again for the first time, I would choose The Shawshank Redemption. What makes it so memorable is not just its powerful storytelling, but the emotional journey it takes the audience on. The film begins as a story of hardship and injustice, yet gradually unfolds into one of hope, resilience, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

Experiencing it for the first time meant not knowing how the story would develop, which made every twist, challenge, and triumph far more impactful. The final moments are especially rewarding because they bring together years of patience, determination, and faith in a way that feels both surprising and deeply satisfying.

While I can rewatch the film and continue to appreciate its message, there is something unique about that first viewing—the sense of discovery, anticipation, and emotional connection that can never be fully replicated. It remains a timeless reminder that hope is one of the most powerful forces a person can possess.

  • What’s a common misconception people have about happiness?

A common misconception about happiness is that it is a destination rather than a journey. Many people believe that happiness will arrive once they achieve a certain goal, earn more money, find the perfect relationship, or reach a particular milestone. While these accomplishments can bring temporary satisfaction, lasting happiness is often found in everyday experiences, meaningful relationships, personal growth, and a sense of purpose.

Happiness is not the absence of challenges or difficulties. In fact, some of the happiest people still face setbacks, stress, and disappointment. What often sets them apart is their ability to find gratitude, resilience, and meaning even during difficult times.

Rather than constantly chasing the next achievement, true happiness comes from appreciating the present moment and valuing what we already have. It is less about having a perfect life and more about developing a positive and balanced perspective on life as it is.

  • If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be and why?

If I could instantly master any skill, it would be the ability to communicate effectively in every language. Language is more than a tool for conversation—it is a bridge that connects people, cultures, and ideas. Mastering every language would allow me to build deeper relationships, understand diverse perspectives, and collaborate with people from all corners of the world without barriers.

In an increasingly interconnected society, the ability to communicate across cultures is invaluable. It fosters empathy, reduces misunderstandings, and creates opportunities for learning and growth. Whether in business, education, diplomacy, or everyday interactions, speaking someone’s language demonstrates respect and opens doors that might otherwise remain closed.

Beyond practical advantages, mastering all languages would provide a richer understanding of humanity itself. Every language carries unique traditions, histories, and ways of thinking. Being able to access that knowledge directly would be both intellectually rewarding and personally fulfilling.

For these reasons, the skill I would choose is universal communication—the power to connect with anyone, anywhere, and truly understand the world through their eyes.

  • What is one way you have grown this year?

One way I have grown this year is by becoming more intentional with my time and priorities. Rather than simply reacting to daily challenges, I have learned to focus on what truly matters and align my actions with my long-term goals. This growth has helped me become more disciplined, productive, and mindful in both my personal and professional life. While there is always room for improvement, this year has taught me the value of consistency, patience, and purposeful decision-making. As a result, I feel more confident in my ability to navigate challenges and continue moving forward with clarity and determination.

  • What is something you wish you could tell your 20-year-old self?

If I could tell my 20-year-old self one thing, it would be this: stop worrying so much about having everything figured out. At 20, it often feels like every decision will determine the course of your entire life, but the truth is that growth comes from experience, mistakes, and the willingness to adapt.

I would remind myself that success is rarely a straight path. Some of the setbacks that seem devastating in the moment will later become valuable lessons. I would encourage myself to take more calculated risks, trust my abilities, and focus less on comparing my journey to others. Everyone moves at a different pace, and comparison often steals the joy of personal progress.

Most importantly, I would say: invest in relationships, stay curious, and never stop learning. Skills can be developed, opportunities can be created, and goals can evolve, but integrity, resilience, and meaningful connections are what truly stand the test of time.

Life will not always go according to plan—and that is perfectly okay. Often, the unexpected turns lead to the most rewarding destinations.

  • Write your guide to setting healthy boundaries in relationships.

Healthy boundaries are the foundation of strong, respectful, and lasting relationships. They help protect our emotional well-being, clarify expectations, and create an environment where trust and mutual respect can thrive. Setting boundaries is not about pushing people away; it is about defining what is acceptable and healthy for both individuals involved.
The first step in establishing healthy boundaries is understanding your own needs, values, and limits. Self-awareness allows you to recognize situations that make you uncomfortable, overwhelmed, or stressed. When you know your limits, you can communicate them more effectively.
Clear and honest communication is essential. Boundaries should be expressed respectfully and directly, without guilt or aggression. Rather than expecting others to guess what you need, explain your expectations calmly and confidently. For example, if you need personal time to recharge, communicate that need openly rather than allowing frustration to build.
Consistency is equally important. Once boundaries are established, they should be maintained. Inconsistent boundaries can create confusion and weaken trust. Respecting your own boundaries sends a message that your needs matter and encourages others to respect them as well.
Healthy boundaries also involve learning to say “no” when necessary. Many people struggle with this because they fear disappointing others. However, saying “no” to something that compromises your well-being is often saying “yes” to your mental, emotional, and physical health.
Mutual respect is another key element. Healthy relationships require both people to honor each other’s boundaries. Listening, showing empathy, and being willing to compromise when appropriate can strengthen relationships while preserving individuality.
Finally, remember that boundaries may evolve over time. As relationships grow and circumstances change, it is important to revisit and adjust boundaries when needed. Open dialogue ensures that both individuals continue to feel valued, respected, and understood.
In my view, setting healthy boundaries is an act of self-respect and care. When boundaries are clear and respected, relationships become stronger, communication improves, and both individuals are better able to thrive together.

  • Do you think humans will ever colonize Mars? What would life there actually look like?

I do believe humans will eventually colonize Mars, although the process is likely to be far more difficult and gradual than many science-fiction stories suggest. Advances in space technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, and life-support systems are bringing humanity closer to establishing a permanent presence on the Red Planet.

Life on Mars would be unlike anything we experience on Earth. Early settlers would probably live in highly engineered habitats designed to protect them from extreme cold, intense radiation, and the planet’s thin atmosphere. Daily life would revolve around careful management of essential resources such as water, oxygen, food, and energy. Agriculture would likely take place in controlled indoor environments, while solar power and other technologies would provide the energy needed to sustain the colony.

Transportation would be limited, and every mission outside the habitat would require specialized equipment. Communication with Earth would also involve significant delays, meaning Martian communities would need to be largely self-reliant and capable of solving problems independently.

Over time, as technology improves and populations grow, Mars could develop into a network of settlements with research facilities, manufacturing centers, and perhaps even thriving communities. While the dream of bustling Martian cities remains distant, the possibility of humans building a second home beyond Earth is one of the most exciting prospects for the future of exploration and human achievement.

  • What’s your favorite meme?

My favorite meme is the classic “Distracted Boyfriend” meme. What makes it so memorable is its versatility—it can be adapted to represent countless situations, from everyday life choices to business decisions and cultural trends. The image communicates a relatable human tendency to be distracted by something new or exciting, often at the expense of what we already have.

A great meme combines humor, simplicity, and universal understanding, and the “Distracted Boyfriend” meme achieves all three. Even years after it first became popular, people continue to find creative ways to reinterpret it, which speaks to its lasting appeal and cultural impact.

  • What’s a cultural tradition from another country that you wish existed in yours?

One cultural tradition from another country that I wish existed more widely in my own is the Danish concept of hygge. Hygge is centered on creating a sense of comfort, warmth, and togetherness through simple pleasures—such as sharing a meal with loved ones, enjoying a quiet evening by candlelight, or taking time to appreciate life’s small moments.

In today’s fast-paced world, many people are constantly focused on productivity and achievement, often overlooking the importance of slowing down and connecting with others. The hygge tradition encourages balance, mindfulness, and genuine human connection, reminding us that happiness is often found in everyday experiences rather than grand accomplishments.

I believe adopting more of this mindset could help reduce stress, strengthen relationships, and promote a greater sense of well-being within communities. It is a beautiful example of how a cultural tradition can positively influence both individual happiness and social harmony.
