How do you make time for self-care?
I make time for self-care by reminding myself that taking care of others and meeting life’s responsibilities begins with taking care of myself. I intentionally create moments to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what truly matters. Sometimes that means taking a peaceful walk, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, listening to music, spending time with loved ones, or simply allowing myself a moment of silence to rest and reset.
I’ve learned that self-care is not selfish—it is an investment in my well-being. Life can be busy and demanding, but even the smallest moments of rest can restore our strength and perspective. When I take time to recharge, I return to my responsibilities with a clearer mind, a grateful heart, and renewed energy.
One reflection I always carry with me is: “You cannot pour from an empty cup. Give yourself permission to rest, because resting is not giving up—it is preparing yourself to rise again.”
Self-care reminds me that I deserve the same patience, kindness, and encouragement that I so freely give to others. Every day is another opportunity to pause, breathe, and choose to care for the person I am becoming.
