What app eats up most of your screen time — and do you even feel bad about it?
Technology has become an inseparable part of daily life, and like many people, the app that consumes most of my screen time is YouTube. Whether I’m learning a new skill, keeping up with current events, watching documentaries, or simply enjoying creative content, there’s always something valuable to discover. It’s more than entertainment—it’s a platform for education, inspiration, and connection.
Do I feel bad about it? Not really. I believe screen time isn’t just about the number of hours spent; it’s about how those hours are used. If an app helps me learn, grow, stay informed, or unwind after a demanding day, then I see it as time well invested. Of course, balance is important. Making time for family, work, exercise, and real-world experiences ensures that technology remains a helpful tool rather than a distraction.
At the end of the day, every app reflects the choices we make. If my most-used app leaves me more knowledgeable, inspired, or motivated than when I opened it, I can hardly feel guilty about spending time there.
