What’s a moment that made you question reality?
There was a moment during a late-night flight when I looked out the window and saw the city lights below fading into complete darkness as we crossed the ocean. The cabin was silent, most passengers asleep, and for a brief moment, it felt as though time had stopped entirely. Thousands of feet above the earth, surrounded by nothing but darkness and clouds, I began to question how fragile and surreal human existence truly is.
What made the experience even more unsettling was the realization that every person on that plane carried an entire life filled with memories, struggles, and dreams—yet in that moment, we were all suspended together in the unknown. It challenged my understanding of reality and reminded me how easily routine can make us forget the extraordinary nature of simply being alive.
That experience did not make me fear reality; instead, it deepened my appreciation for it. Sometimes, the moments that make us question the world around us are the same moments that help us see it more clearly.
