You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?
If I were embarking on a cross-country trip, I would choose to travel by train. The train offers a rare balance of efficiency and experience—allowing one to cover vast distances while still remaining connected to the landscape. Unlike air travel, which often feels rushed and detached, a train journey provides the opportunity to observe changing scenery, reflect, and even engage with fellow travelers. It combines comfort with a sense of adventure, making the journey itself as meaningful as the destination.
