What makes you feel nostalgic?
Nostalgia finds me in quiet, unplanned moments. It surfaces in familiar songs that once played during simpler seasons of life, in old photographs that capture expressions and connections frozen in time, and in the comforting routines of childhood that felt ordinary then but meaningful now. Certain scents—home-cooked meals, fresh rain, or well-worn books—have the power to transport me back to places where life felt slower and more certain.
What makes me feel most nostalgic, however, is the memory of shared moments: conversations that lingered without urgency, laughter that came easily, and the sense of belonging that accompanied being fully present with people I cared about. These memories remind me not only of where I’ve been, but of the values, relationships, and experiences that continue to shape who I am today.
