Honey Garlic Glazed Beef Strips
Tender beef strips coated in a sweet and savory honey-garlic glaze—this recipe is perfect for a quick dinner or a special weekend treat. The sticky sauce clings to the meat, delivering a burst of flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
- 500g (1 lb) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons water
- Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped spring onions
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef
- Place the beef strips in a bowl.
- Add soy sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the Beef
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef strips in batches, searing each side for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium.
- Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey and water, bringing the sauce to a gentle simmer.
- Combine & Glaze
- Return the beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Let it cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the beef.
- Serve
- Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions if desired.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables.

For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar or chili flakes to the sauce for a tangy or spicy twist.
